COVID-19 Operational Protocols & Procedures
Boston Bioskills Lab is excited to announce that we are fully operational at both our Boston and Providence, RI locations.
We remain committed to offering our full services and facilities to the medical device and medical education community while prioritizing the safety of our customers, guests and employees. To that end, we have made many changes throughout our facility in order to ensure the health and safety of all guests and staff. Any guest, vendor and employee entering the facility will be prescreened to ensure they are symptom free with no known exposure to COVID-19. In addition, we have increased our already thorough disinfecting requirements; as such, we are able to utilize the full facility with multiple lab spaces, conference rooms and auditoriums to maintain compliance with smaller group sizes and social distancing requirements.
Importantly, the changes we made throughout the Lab are making a difference – let me take a moment to highlight key health and safety guidelines we deployed to address COVID-19:
1. Temperature Checks
Any person entering one of our facilities is required to undergo a temperature check. The temperature check is designed as a prescreening measure to ensure, any guest, vendor and/or employee entering the facility are symptom free with no known or unknown exposure to COVID-19.
Masks are required to be worn at all times while in the facilities. Full surgical PPE is provided for all lab events.
3. Social Distancing
We have limited Event attendance to no more than 40% of maximum facility capacity. All lab stations, didactic lecture and other common areas have been set up to maintain compliance with smaller group sizes, and social distancing compliance.
4. Increased Cleaning Protocols
We have increased the depth and frequency of our disinfecting and cleaning requirements throughout the facility, especially high-traffic areas such as door handles, bathrooms, etc. In addition to the Lab, we have added hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility.
5. Remote Training Live Events – coming soon!
We know there are still many uncertainties when it comes to hosting Live events due to travel and other logistical and health related concerns. In response to those concerns, BBL has been evaluating a number of potential technology partner platforms that will enable us to “Live Stream” your training events to attendees in remote locations. More information regarding our capabilities will be announced soon.

Thanks again for your business – we look forward to seeing you in Boston or Providence sometime soon.
Dear Valued Clients & Partners
These are extra-ordinary times and all of us are being asked to take extra-ordinary measures. As with all of you, Boston BioskillsLab most important concern is the health and safety of all of our associates, clients, and guests. BBL has and will continue to follow all appropriate protocols to provide the cleanest and safest lab facilities for every organization that works with us.
The current situation concerning the coronavirus has had, what is hopefully, a short-term impact on our business operations in Boston MA, Providence RI, and Beijing China. BBL has been working with many of you to address concerns and delays as a result of the impact of the current pandemic. The combination of some organizations not allowing their medical personnel, or medical device personnel, to participate in external events, and the continued China quarantine, is a forcing some groups to postpone or cancel some events previously scheduled for March & April. BBL is doing everything we can to accommodate any changes and we already have shifted many labs from March & April to later this year. If the current restrictions persist past April, we will work through changes with all of our clients.
As with all of you, we look forward to some return of normalcy. In the meantime, please rest assured that BBL is committed to working closely with you during these unprecedented times and we will continue to provide outstanding service that has made BBL a destination for high-quality medical training labs. If any of you should need help or assistance regarding quotes, invoices, scheduled labs, or pre-planning for a new or existing Lab event, please contact us at 617-409-7400, or email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We value your partnership and we appreciate your business and we are committed to serving your needs for many more years to come. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions. Again, thank you for your business. Most importantly, please stay healthy and safe.
